1000 Miles from Home

It's official... I traded my East Coast plates for a mid-west life. Trying to adjust to the Lone Star state isn't easy. I just graduated from college, haven't found a job, live at home, and am even more broke than when I was in school. Although it seems like I may have made the wrong move, I feel at peace, or rather, with peace. I am not giving up hope. I have submitted around 200 job applications, and finally have my third phone interview. Not to mention, I may have another interview this week (fingers crossed).

I admit that it is pretty difficult without my close friends, church family, and my family back east. I have even tried to mask just how hard its been by not getting into contact with anyone...probably not the best idea. So, I am remedying this by blogging my life.

I can't guarantee it is a pretty gift with a big pink bow, but I am ready to tackle whatever is thrown my way. I am certain that my life experiences will only help me during these times.

For now, I am putting on my cowgirl boots, hat, and shiny belt buckle as I blend into my new life with a new style :)

I will end with a few words from Oprah Winfrey, "The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude." Let the journey begin :)
